Mulberry Tree

As part of our larger plan to build a food forest, we have planted about 20 Mulberry tree cuttings this year. To be honest, I had no idea that mulberries are grown locally here in Darjeeling. Locally it is known as Kimbu. This picture is after a month after we had planted the root cuttings. Yes! It is indeed spreading its new leaves (read as wings!) in our forest! Watch out for the bi-weekly photo updates of this tree on the Flora section.
